ABA Chelsea Rare Book Fair to return for its 29th Edition


Collectors of rare books will be excited to hear that the Chelsea ABA Rare Book Fair is holding its 29thedition at the Chelsea Old Town Hall on the 1stand 2ndof November. With world class dealers offering a wide range of books, manuscripts, photographs and even cartoons and with something for every price range, this is not to be missed for both enthusiasts and the merely curious. 

Both days will see a variety of guided tours from renowned specialists into all aspects of the rare book industry. Tours last year ranged from the history of bookbinding to the works of Aldous Huxley and Zadie Smith. Friday 2ndwill also see a book signing by David Batterham of his newly published collection of letters about his time scouring Europe for rare books.

Opening times are from 2pm to 7pm on Friday 1stNovember and 11am to 5pm on Saturday 2ndNovember. On may claim up to two free tickets if in one books entry in advance on the fair’s website, or otherwise pay on the door an entrance fee of £10 for one and £15 for two tickets.

Public transportation is available either to Sloane Square or South Kensington tube stations as well as by bus. There is no onsite parking, however, Chelsea Old Town Hall is not in the congestion charging zone and it may be possible to park on the surrounding streets.
