Tuesday 28th May at 2:30pm Hosted by Simply Learning Tuition Consultancy
Simply Learning Tuition Consultancy are running this half term workshop for all Year 12 students looking to get a head start on their university applications. Their guest speaker is an Education Adviser specialising in University Admissions.
Often seen as the most challenging aspect of the university application process, the UCAS personal statement is an opportunity for students to market themselves, but in only 4000 characters. This can seem like an Everest-style challenge. There is no magic formula for this highly academic document but in this engaging and practical workshop students will gain a full understanding of what admissions tutors are looking for.
Students will leave with:
- A clearer understanding of their own personal statement content and an action plan for an organised structure for their UCAS personal statement.
- Confidence and excitement about what to do next!
Sarah Alakija has provided UCAS application support in Sixth Forms since 1997. She is currently Head of Higher Education and Careers at Putney High School and consults for UK independent schools (HMC Schools) and an independent school in China, on their Careers and Oxbridge application guidance. Sarah has worked in independent schools for over 20 years and has previously worked as a Deputy Headteacher.
Places are restricted to 8 students to allow for a fully tailored session and maximum results.
