The MP for Chelsea and Fulham, Greg Hands, is inviting local residents to a public Q&A about Heathrow Airport’s future airspace allocation and expansion being held on Thursday.
The event will be hosted and chaired by Hands with Heathrow representatives in attendance to answer your questions. It forms part of Heathrow’s wider public engagement on their current consultation, ‘Airspace and Future Operations’, and is result of lobbying by Hands for an event in the two boroughs
This comes just after the London airport has published ‘design envelopes’ on January 10th; attempting to illustrate the areas that might be affected by potential flight paths.
Heathrow have, however, emphasised that final flight paths may not necessarily be spread across the full width of the envelope. It remains difficult at this stage to ascertain what areas will be most affected.
Hands resigned from Government in June 2018 in order to vote against the Heathrow third runway proposals and hopes this consultation will allow residents to air their similar grievances.
For more information about the consultation, Heathrow can be contacted on 0800 307 7996 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you have any questions or would like more information on the event on Thursday, please contact Greg’s office on 020 7219 0809 or by emailing email@example.com. Submit your views via the email: firstname.lastname@example.org or write to FREEPOST LHR AFO CONSULTATION if you cannot attend the event.
Please note the consultation will close for comments on 4th March 2019 at 23:55pm.
