Are you thinking of throwing a Christmas party with your vegan comrades? Choose from pop-up dinners with live jazz on various dates through December or private hire for up to 40 guests enjoying canapés or a three-course meal. Café 41 has created these opportunities with a suitably Festive lunch and dinner menu. ‘Faux Gras’ with caramelised onion chutney, Nut Wellington and Mushroom Bourguignon Pie are delicious and more exciting alternatives to turkey and sprouts. Inspired desserts such as Salted Caramel, Chocolate and Pear Fondant, mocktails and non-alcoholic fizz are available too, all served up in stylish surroundings. Alternatively, opt for a glorious afternoon tea.
Café 41 still name their delightful thin slices of smoked carrot, ‘vegan salmon’. The French Government is banning the use of meat terms such as ‘sausage’ to describe the vegetarian versions. With the rise in the demand and taste for vegetarian and vegan culinary creations, perhaps it’s time to start coining some innovative names for them.
French chef, Clarisse Flon will also be producing festive biscuits, chocolate goodies, glass bottles of caramelised nuts and Yule logs to take away too. Details on the website, (order 24 hours in advance.)
Just around the corner from Hyde Park, Café 41 is a stone’s throw from Bayswater Underground station. Time to make those carnivores jealous!
