The Octavia Foundation offers summer of fun for young people

Local charity, the Octavia Foundation, is providing a whole host of activities for young people aged 10-21 years old (up to 27 years old additional needs), over the summer holidays at its centre in Portobello.

The Octavia Foundation is a London based charity that supports over 2000 people a year caring for the community through befriending and social activities with the elderly, as well as inspirational projects for children and young people.

Participants will be able to enjoy a range of fun activities run by the Foundation, including workshops in DJing, Stop Motion Animation, Photography, Youtube vlogging, Music Production, Lyric writing, sound recording and more. The Octavia Foundation will also be offering excursions, including trips to Margate (Turner Museum), The Beach at Brent Cross, Photographers Gallery, Tate Modern, Science Museum, Beat Positive History Of Hip Hop Exhibition and the London Film Museum.

Video game and DJing competitions will also be included, as well as the Octavia Foundation’s annual summer BBQ.

The workshops and events are being held at The Reed, 28 Convent Gardens, W11 1NJ.

The workshops, events and trips will run from 23rd July to 31st August. Most of the activities will be free of charge with a small refundable deposit for some offsite trips (£2-5 per activity) to confirm a space
