Monday 20 April 2015 is the deadline to register to vote in the general election.
You can register to vote online by going to www.gov.uk/register-to-vote
You can use this service to:
• register to vote
• update your name, address or other details on the electoral register
• request an application form for an absent vote.
Registering online takes around five minutes.
You will need your date of birth and National Insurance number (if you don’t have one you will be asked to provide documentary evidence to prove your identity).
There is also still time to register to vote by post by filling in and sending an Individual Registration Form which can also be found at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote
You need to be on the electoral register to vote in elections and referendums.
