If you’re a local voluntary or community group and need some financial support, the doors are now open for bids to the council’s grants programme for 2015 – 2017.
Over £2m is available to organisations that ‘support the council’s priorities’, as well as providing high-quality information and advice to residents; community engagement and support services to build the capacity of smaller voluntary groups.
Organisations that are well governed, financially sound and have a track record of success are encouraged to apply.
The closing date is Friday 26 September.
Councillor Gerard Hargreaves, Cabinet Member for Voluntary Organisations and Resident Engagement, said: ‘I’m very pleased that despite great pressures on the council’s finances we’re able to make funding available to support the work of voluntary and community groups in the borough.’
