Connecting Seven Zones Kensington + Chelsea Art Weekend proudly celebrates its 2nd year with a stunning programme of events and experiences that will inspire residents and visitors alike

Following a standout inaugural launch in 2018, the annual art weekend returns to West London this summer from 28th to 30th June. KCAW19 unveils the unexpected, highlights local spirit, and showcases an extraordinary cross-section of art and culture throughout the borough.

Aligned with an emerging new art season in West London, KCAW19 coincides with some of the world-class events that define our city: Masterpiece London in Chelsea, Mayfair Art Weekend, London Art Week, and now, the brand-new Great Exhibition Road Festival in South Kensington.

This year, KCAW19 involves an even wider range of public art commissions, community-led collaborations between artists and institutions, themed activities, talks, curated walking tours and an Art Bus that will once again stop at key locations throughout the borough.

With a focus on public art, 2019 is all about thought-provoking art interruptions echoing the Age of Enlightenment, and the expansion of the walking tours programme encompassing food, music, theatre and history – all aimed at creating opportunities to explore this part of London, to discover and experience the borough like never before.
As the festival’s Director Vestalia Chilton puts it, this year is all about ‘unveiling the unexpected and highlighting the extraordinary local spirit unique to the area’.
