There were one hundred and thirty one homocide attacks in November, compared to one hundred and eighteen across 2017- the capital’s highest level of knife attacks since 2008, according to the Metropolitan Police.
BBC London’s TV debate ‘London’s Knife Wars: What’s the Solution?’ will attempt to unravel the crime epidemic tonight on BBC 1 at 10:45pm, hosted by Tina Daheley and on BBC iPlayer afterwards.
A panel of politicians and police will include; Sophie Lindon, Deputy Mayor for Policing and Mark Simmons, Metropolitan Police Assistant, along side an audience of Londoners.
They will discuss: What can be done to stop the number of young lives lost on the capital’s streets?
The debate will be simulcast on BBC Radio London followed by a phone-in on the Duncan Barkes show. It will also be on BBC London YouTube and BBC London Facebook, plus you can keep up to date with live tweeting on BBC London Twitter.
