Kensington and Chelsea Mayor’s Christmas Carol Concert

You are invited to the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea’s Mayor’s Christmas Carol Concert in support of local children’s charity Solidarity Sports.

Solidarity Sports reaches out to some of the hardest to reach children in Kensington and Chelsea and in West London. Children come mostly from families that feel isolated and many have experienced some form of trauma. They are referred by Social Services, schools, or refuges for domestic violence. Providing after school, weekend and school holiday programmes, Solidarity Sports offers a wide range of activities which include sport, art, educational and fun trips, residential holidays in the UK and abroad.

Established in 2008, the charity has developed its activities to reflect the needs of its children and their families and, as such, offers an extended family atmosphere in a safe, open-minded, inclusive and loving environment where children can play, make friends and feel a sense of worth and belonging.

The Carol Concert will celebrate the diverse range of children supported by the charity and will include music, poetry and readings by some very special guests – to be announced! Following the concert there will be an ‘after party’ with wine kindly donated by the Copthorne Hotel and finger food by Waitrose in the crypt of the church to which all our attendees to the concert are invited.

Music by the Community; Including Mangrove Steel Band, Portobello Live! Community Choir, Investec Opera Holland Park and Our Lady Victories Professional Church Choir.

Start time 18.30 to be seated by 18.15. To book your place please click here.
