Native Spirit returns to Bloomsbury for their 12th Indigenous Film Festival 11-21 October with a great line up of 50+ films highlighting Indigenous Cinema from the Arctic, Americas, Australia, Africa, Pacific, Taiwan and Canada. Special guests include artists, musicians, filmmakers and writers: Jules Koostachin (Cree), Red Haircrow (Chiricahua Apache, Cherokee), Greta Morton Elangué (Indigenous Australia), Suming Rupi (Amis), Ado’ Kaliting Pacidal (Amis), Lin Guo-ting (Amis),Ingrid Pumayalla (Trujillo), Sara Taukolonga (Tonga) Don’t miss the opening night film BLACK DIVAZ which follows the inaugural Miss First Nation Australia drag pageant at Darwin Pride. Highlights also include a full day of Indigenous Cinema, Sunday 14 October 11-6pm at SOAS and the ‘Life Blood’ exhibition with Cara Romero, Chemehuevi Photographer at The Crypt Gallery. Opening night advance ticket entry £10. All other events free, donations requested £5-10.
