Westway Sports & Fitness Club organises FREE community open day to celebrate £1m refurbishment

Westway Sports & Fitness Club, operated by Everyone Active in partnership with The Westway Trust, is holding a free community open day Sunday 3rd June to celebrate the official reopening of their new gym and studios. Members of the local community are invited to come down from 10am until 4pm to enjoy a day of completely free activities.

The club has undergone a £1million refurbishment and upgraded to state-of-the-art gym equipment, a new free-weights area, improved group exercise studios, a brand-new group cycling studio and new changing rooms. Members will also benefit from the new relaxing steam and sauna rooms. A new group exercise timetable will also be launched, which will run Les Mills classes including BODYPUMP™ & BODYATTACK™ along with other favourites such as Zumba®, Pilates and Capoeira.

The Everyone Active club will be opening its doors to the public with a range of exciting free activities on offer. Visitors will be able to take part in a wide range of group exercise taster classes as well as family fitness challenges. There will also be the opportunity to get exclusive membership offers and access all the brand-new equipment.

Families are encouraged to bring children along as youngsters can enjoy face painting, a bouncy castle, a hidden gem prize hunt and a raffle where the winner could win a Fitness Activity Hamper.

“We are delighted to be holding an open day to showcase our new facilities,” says Everyone Active General Manager, Tamara Kissling. “We’re excited for new and returning customers to use the club and experience the range of activities and workouts our new equipment and refurbished features can offer. We also hope to see families and friends from the local community taking this opportunity to get active and try something new!”

“One of Westway Trust’s key aims is to provide opportunities for the local community to increase their physical activity and to encourage healthy behaviour.” explains Stephen Wren, Westway Trust’s Director of Sports & Leisure. “The Trust’s partnership with Everyone Active has lead to this increased investment in these community facilities, and we couldn’t be happier that the North Kensington community will have access to these state-of-the-art facilities.”

All activities are free, and the local community are encouraged to spend the day at the new Everyone Active Westway Sports & Fitness Club to mark this special occasion for the centre.
