New boarding house for Year 8 boys and third daily transport service from London from September
London families are fortunate in having the option to send their boys to a top preparatory school with 15 acres of land in Ascot, Berkshire. Facilities at this outstanding school include a swimming pool, squash courts, sports hall, music school and a climbing wall – to name but a few.
A striking new building at the heart of the school opens in September to provide a stand-alone boarding house for Year 8 boys, with modern dormitories and a common room, on-site accommodation for houseparents and new state-of-the art classrooms for Year 5.
Papplewick will be running a third daily transport service from Gloucester Road area from September, in addition to its two popular services already operating from Brook Green and Chiswick.
The school offers day, weekly, and full boarding education for around 200 boys between the ages of six and thirteen, achieving excellent academic results and feeding the UK’s top senior schools – with scholarships galore.
“Many London parents are looking for a rural preparatory school which can offer boys more space for sports and other facilities. We have the advantage that we can offer an enormous range of extra-curricular activities within the school day,” says Headmaster Tom Bunbury.
Activities include a herpetology club, riding, arena polo, table tennis, cross-country, clay pigeon shooting, fencing, water polo, circuit training, aqua-fit and many more. There are clubs to suit every personality, including Warhammer, chess, cooking, Bibliomaniacs, camp craft, photography, film and cinema, and many more.
