Charity CW+ has recently collaborated with the Chelsea Arts Club to host a new exhibition of works at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital which can be found on the 1st Floor walkway between Lift Banks B and C.
The Chelsea Arts Club has been based in Kensington and Chelsea for 125 years and several artists from the club are represented in the CW+ art collection throughout the hospital, helping to improve the patient environment and experience.
The charity CW+ through the help of generous supporters and partners work to deliver a unique art and design programme to transform the hospital experience and clinical environment, support research to help improve treatments and care for patients and invest in health and technology innovations in Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Hospitals.
To celebrate the collaboration, the charity recently hosted an event at the hospital with Chelsea and Westminster Hospital Chief Executive Lesley Watts and Medical Director Zoë Penn in attendance. Some of the artists from the exhibition and members from the club were also present.
“The idea was to involve the hospital with its local community and for the club to support an outstanding hospital,” Ginger Gibbons, Vice Chairman of the Club and Chairman of the Art Committee, said. “Many of our members have received first class treatment here. I hope this revolving display of members work will show our gratitude and contribute to making a visit here a little less stressful.”
